A Maui Sunset

Maui Weather

One of the reasons Maui is the world's favorite island is the incredible weather here. An amazing variety of climates grace the mountains, valleys and beaches of Maui. The east-facing (windward) slopes of Maui receive tremendous amounts of rain annually, keeping the lush, verdant, tropical rainforests in their radiant glory year-round. The west-facing (leeward) side of Maui is almost perpetually sunny with refreshing trade winds that fan the swaying palms.

Temperatures range from the 70s to the upper 80s during winter days, and just a few degrees higher during summer months. Nighttime temperatures at sea level are fairly constant in the upper 60s and lower 70s, while Maui's Upcountry evenings can be cool enough to light a cozy fire.

While the weather is consistently pleasant, it's not a bad idea to check the forecast for the areas of Maui you plan to visit. For that reason, Kamaole Nalu Oceanfront Resort offers two sources of reliable weather information.
